Yard waste generated during landscaping projects, storm cleanup, fence replacement, or deck demolition doesn't always fit in a curbside green bin — especially when it involves large volumes of material or bulk items like old fencing or decking lumber. SturdyBee removes yard waste and outdoor debris from residential and commercial properties across Metro Vancouver, handling everything from branches and clippings to full shed removal.
What Yard Waste We Remove
We haul away outdoor and landscaping debris including:
- Branches, clippings, and pruning waste
- Old fencing — wood, chain-link, vinyl
- Decking lumber and deck hardware
- Old patio furniture and outdoor equipment
- Garden sheds (disassembled or we can assist with disassembly)
- Soil and gravel (reasonable quantities — call for large volumes)
- Old planters, pots, and garden borders
- Irrigation piping and systems
- Landscaping fabric and weed membrane
- Old BBQs and outdoor appliances
- Trampoline frames and play equipment
What Yard Waste We Cannot Take
We cannot take hazardous outdoor materials: pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers in large quantities, gasoline, propane tanks (unless fully empty with valve removed), or asbestos-containing shed components (some older sheds used asbestos-cement sheet).
Large volumes of wet green cuttings (fresh grass clippings, green leaves) can be expensive to dispose of because they're heavy and require organic waste facilities. We'll let you know at booking if this affects pricing.
Shed Removal
Removing a garden shed is one of the more involved yard waste jobs. Most sheds need to be broken down before they can be loaded. Our crew can handle disassembly of standard wooden and metal garden sheds on-site. For larger outbuildings or structures with concrete footings, call us for a specific assessment.
Older sheds with corrugated metal or cement-board panels should be assessed for asbestos content if built before 1990. If in doubt, have a sample tested before booking.
Pricing for Yard Waste Removal
Yard waste is priced by load volume. A standard post-yard-work cleanup (branches, clippings, old planter pots) is typically a minimum to 1/4 load ($119–$289). A full fence replacement or deck removal often fills a 1/2 to full load ($478–$719).
Large volumes of heavy material (concrete, soil) are handled case-by-case — call with specifics.
